LARRY N. GUNTHER

Larry N. Gunther, age 66, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away March 13th at home surrounded by his family. Visitation is at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 18th, 2017 followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Paul's United Methodist Church in Raymore, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to Saint Paul's United Methodist Church Mission Trip Fund, 1111 W. Foxwood Dr, Raymore, MO 64083.

Larry was born October 2, 1950, in Nampa, Idaho. He graduated from Meridian High School in Meridian, Idaho in 1968. He then went on to attend college at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma where he met his wife Ina (Moles) Gunther and received a bachelor's degree in education. After graduation, Larry and Ina moved to the Kansas City area. He went to graduate school at the University of Missouri, Kansas City and earned his Masters in education. He taught math and coached track, football and wrestling at Ruskin High School for 30 years and then continued to teach at Hogan Preparatory Academy for another 12 years.

Larry is survived by his wife of 44 years Ina (Moles) Gunther; his children Hesper Gunther (Sean Isaacson) and Ian Gunther (Brianne); his grandchildren Alexandra Gunther and Hunter Gunther; his parents Frederick and Della Mae Gunther and his sister Brenda Gunther.
