LARRY MICHAEL DICKERSON

Larry Michael Dickerson, age 74, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, May 8th, surrounded by his loving family after battling Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

Services will be held on May 18, 2024, at Cullen Funeral Home, 612 W. Foxwood Dr. Raymore, Missouri 64083. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. followed by a memorial celebration of Larry's life at 2:00 p.m.

Larry was born in Kansas City, Missouri on January 14, 1950, to Harold M. and Alberta J. (Miller) Dickerson. He was joined in marriage to Lin (Hester) Dickerson on February 10, 1973. Larry obtained his B.A. and Juris Doctorate degrees from the University of Missouri at Kansas City. Larry was a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) and was assigned to the Chicago office from 1976 to 1986. From 1986 until his retirement in 2010, Larry was the Deputy Director of Investigations for the State of Missouri.

Larry was a man of many interests from ballroom dancing, opera, and horseback riding to being a dedicated outdoorsman. He was an avid waterfowl and game bird hunter. He also enjoyed teaching his grandsons to fish. Larry was a man of faith. He had served as a Deacon at the Concord Baptist Church in Jefferson City where he also taught Sunday School.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Alberta Dickerson. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-one years, Lin (Hester) Dickerson; daughter, Jen Yeager; son, Russell Dickerson; sister, Vickie Dickerson; brother, Kenton Dickerson (Pat). He also leaves three wonderful grandsons: Wyatt Yeager, Michael Dickerson, and Jett Dickerson. He was well loved by his extended family members, hunting friends, work friends, and neighbors.
