LARRY R. ALLEN

Larry R. Allen, age 66, of Lowry City, MO, formerly of St. Joseph, MO passed away August 14, 2017 at his home in Lowry City.

Memorial services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Cullen Funeral Home, Raymore, MO will a visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice 1001 E 101st Terrace Suite 180, Kansas City, MO 64131.

Larry was born in St. Joseph, Missouri on August 26, 1950, the older of two sons of Leonard (Nig) Allen and Maxine (Toney) Allen. They both preceded him in death.

He was a 1968 Graduate of Central High School

After high school Larry joined the Missouri Air National Guard and served proudly.

He later pursued a career in Law Enforcement, working for Johnson County Sheriff, Independence and Grandview Police Departments.

After that, he took up brick laying, following in the footsteps of his father, and later became an over the road truck driver, his last job he was Security for government buildings and HCA hospitals.

He was a Mason and a Shriner.

He is survived by his loving wife Linda A. (Rhea) Allen; three children, Jamie, Todd and Amy Allen; three step-daughters, Heather Fasse (Brent), Danielle Hamlin (Josh) and Jonnie Glasgow; five step-grandchildren; his brother, Jimmy Allen (Christine) of Omaha, NE; nephew, Christopher Allen of KCMO; and numerous cousins.
