REV. LaMOINE DALE WALDRON

LaMoine Dale Waldron was born at Juniata, NE, July 30, 1928, and departed from this life Thursday, December 3, 2020, at the age of 92. He was the first of four sons born to Lloyd and Elizabeth Waldron. The boys were all raised on the family farm. His parents and two brothers, Richard and Donald, and his son, Kurt Lynn Waldron, preceded him in death.

LaMoine married Vera Rose Wilkins, September 5, 1949. Three children blessed their marriage: Rita Kay Waldron Harmon, Enid, OK; Carol Sue Waldron Rosebrough, Pepper Pike, OH; and Kurt Lynn Waldron, deceased. His family also includes a son-in-law, Walter M Rosebrough, Jr., four grandchildren: Dale Aaron Harmon (Jennifer), Duane Andrew Harmon, Jeffrey Benjamin Rosebrough (Carolyn), and Elizabeth Erin Rosebrough Miller (Jeremy); and thirteen great grandchildren: Michael Tyler Harmon, Alexis Kay Harmon, Sarah Ashley Harmon, Austin Gregory Harmon, Emma Rose Miller, Cora Marie Miller, George Robert Miller, Duke Robert Miller, Jack Lee Rosebrough, Huck Robert Miller, Audrey Sue Rosebrough, Vera Elizabeth Miller, and Grace Mary Rosebrough.

In addition to the above, he is survived by one brother, Eldon (Wally) Waldron of Littleton, CO.

LaMoine graduated from the new Cotner College of Religion, Lincoln, NE, with an AB degree and a Master of Divinity degree from The Lexington Theological Seminary of Lexington, KY, and worked toward a PhD degree from Philips Seminary, Tulsa, OK. He was ordained to the Christian Ministry by his home church, First Christian Church of Hastings, NE, and the Christian Church Disciples of Christ of the State of NE in 1954. He served pastorates in Nebraska, Kentucky, Kansas, Missouri and Colorado for some fifty years. He served the church on numerous local, regional, and national levels and has been a delegate to the General Assemblies and World Conventions.

LaMoine and Vera moved to Foxwood Springs in Raymore, MO, to enjoy full retirement in 2015. He will be remembered by his family for his love of God and family.

A family graveside service will be held at a time yet to be determined at the Raymore Cemetery, Raymore, MO; Cullen Funeral Home, Raymore, MO.
