KIM C. SCOTT

Kim C. Scott, age 63, of Raymore, Missouri passed away at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri on Monday, March 9, 2020.

A visitation service will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Monday, March 16, 2020 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 310 Johnston Pkwy, Raymore, Missouri 64083. Immediately following will be a funeral service at 3:00 p.m. An interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Higginsville, 20109 Bus, Missouri-13, Higginsville, Missouri 64037.

Kim was born in Norfolk, Virginia on July 29, 1956 to Paul Southworth Jr. and Shirley A. (Eubanks) Southworth and grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. After graduating Shamrock High School Kim furthered her education receiving a bachelor's degree in psychology from Emory University in Georgia. After graduating as an honor student, she worked for a short while at the National Primate Center among other various jobs. However, Kim was most proud of her career as a flight attendant with Continental, Delta, and Air Atlanta. She also exercised her creative side, playing happy characters at Disney and acting the part of "bad girls" at the FBI National Academy. In the late winter of 1991, she was joined in marriage with her husband Russel W. Scott III on February 12th. Together they were blessed with two daughters, Jeana and Bonny. In life, Kim was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and the Lions Club in Raymore, Missouri. She also was a member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League through the church, was a Mustang enthusiast, and enjoyed reading mysteries.

Kim was preceded in death by her father, Paul C. Southworth Jr.

She is survived by her loving husband of over twenty-nine years, Russel W. Scott III; mother Shirley Lynch; two daughters, Jeana Ruthann Scott and Bonny Russellyn Scott; granddaughter, Renny Faith Scott; two brothers, Paul Southworth III (Natalia) and Tim Southworth; and three sisters, Teresa Campaign (Wayne), Jackie Ganas (Ray), and Rachel Hodgson (Luke).
