KIM E. BARTELS

Kim E. Bartels, age 80, of Belton, Missouri passed away on June 21, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, July 8, 2024 at Allee Holman-Howe Funeral Home 15 Clint Ave., Camdenton, Missouri 65020. Visitation will be held between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. with services held between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. A graveside service will follow.

Kim was born in New Braunfels, Texas on September 30, 1943, the son of Kenneth R. Bartels and Dorothy M. Dandy. After graduating from high school, Kim met the love of his life Bette Tucker and were later married on September 23, 1967. Together they were blessed with two sons, Joseph and Kenneth. In life Kim worked for many companies servicing HVAC units for over forty years. Kim had a passion for photography and loved being behind the camera lens. He also loved fishing and sailing. But most of all he loved his pet bird "Peete". Kim served his country in the United States Navy Reserve for two years.

Kim was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Dorothy Bartels; and his late wife of 53 years, Bette I. Bartels.

He is survived by his two sons, Joseph M. Bartels and Kenneth S. Bartels (Renee); three siblings, Katherine Anderson (Ron), Paul Bartels (Janet), and Patrick Bartels (Janice); seven grandchildren, Joseph M. Bartels II (Kierston), Ryan C. Bartels (Liz), Jacob Bartels, Justin Bartels, Chris Bartels (Erin), Sierra Sumner (Cliff), and Logan Bartels; seven great grandchildren, Hadley, Deklan, Audrey, Brooklyn, Axel, Jackson, and Kasen.
