KEVIN RUSSELL WILLIAMS
Kevin R. Williams, 50, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away July 15, 2016, at his home after a long fight with diabetes. Memorial services 7PM., Thursday, July 21, with visitation from 6-7PM at Cullen Funeral Home in Raymore.
Kevin was born August 25, 1965 in Kansas City to Glenn and Blanche (Spruytte) Williams. He was the fifth of six children. He had many stories of growing up in such a large family and it was a happy childhood that gave Kevin many fond memories.
Kevin attended Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, where he was interested in studying Criminal Justice. On August 28, 1993, he married Heather Tucker. They bought their first home in April of '94 in Raymore, Missouri. Kevin took pride in his yard, making sure he had the greenest lawn and he planted many flowers on all four sides of the house. He also put up the Christmas lights and was constantly adding more lights each year. He spent hours in the garage woodworking and was proud that he was asked to make a giant snowman for the annual company Christmas party. He ended up making an entire snowman family!
Kevin enjoyed traveling to Hawaii and he traveled there often with his wife. He snorkeled, watched whales and enjoyed the beautiful sunsets. He could never get enough of Hawaii and always wanted to go back.
Kevin worked at James B. Nutter as a Shipping Supervisor for almost 20 years until he could no longer walk because of his health.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his great nephew.
He is survived by his former wife of 17 years, Heather Williams; three brothers, Robert Williams (Tammy), Mike Williams (Ronda), and Randy Williams (Linda); two sisters, Glennita Baughman (Allen), and Valerie Ferrero (Matt); five nephews, three nieces, two great-nephews and three great-nieces.
"No more pain and suffering. We are going to miss you, little brother. Rest now with Mom and Dad."
