KENNETH "KENNY" LEE BROWN

Kenneth "Kenny" Lee Brown was born on February 10, 1929 and passed away on October 29, 2010. Kenneth was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma and was one of three children born to the late Judson and Virginia Brown. The family moved to Grandview, Missouri where Kenny graduated from Grandview High School in 1947. After graduation he married his High School Sweetheart, Laverne Knoche. Kenny proudly served his country from 1950 to 1954 and was stationed in France. Kenny and Laverne started up a construction company and named it Brown Brothers Excavating in 1954. For the past 50 years Brown Brothers completed countless number of projects in the Kansas City area. Kenny and Laverne were married for over 30 years. They lived in Cleveland, Missouri where they raised three children. Laverne passed away in 1985. Kenny will forever be remembered by his beloved children, Vicki Blaco (Mark), Rick Brown (Sarah), Karla Bryant (Bill); Treasured grandchildren, Stephanie, Shannon, Austin, Calvin and Alex; Great grandchildren, Wesley and Tayler; Mother-in-Law, Helen Knoche. Kenny touched the lives of many people with his smile, laughter and sparkling blue eyes. Kenny was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle who will be very much missed by his Family.
Visitation and Services will be held at Red Bridge United Methodist Church, 636 E. 117th Street, Kansas City, Missouri 64131-3816, # (816) 941-0112. Visitation is on Friday, November 5, 2010 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Services are on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 11:00 AM. Burial Service will be held at Mt. Moriah immediately following services.
