KATY L. BALENTINE

Katy Lou Whitely Balentine was born December 28, 1928 in Kingfisher Oklahoma to Carter and Thelma (Sheegog) Whitely. Katy married C.O. Balentine on November 4, 1948.

C.O. first saw Katy when she was a pre-schooler who was entered in a toddler's beauty contest. C.O. remarked that he really liked that beautiful girl with the dark black and curly hair. They met years after C.O. got out of the Navy and were married. That marriage lasted until C.O. went to be with the Lord. It was a marriage of 67 years.

Katy and C.O. served Bank 10 for 52 years of dedicated service.

Both Katy and her husband loved the Lord Jesus and loved their Church. They were tireless servants and leaders in Mission Organizations and Churches throughout the years. They enjoyed serving with "Campers on Mission," which is a fellowship of campers who share their love for Christ as they camp and do short term mission work.

Katy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 67 years, her brother Jim Whitely, and two great-grandsons, Brady DaMitz and Simon Balentine.

Katy is survived by her brother, Bill Whitely, married to Nola; a daughter, Olivia Mulvaney, married to David; two sons, Joe Balentine, married to Melody, and Barry Balentine, married to Lisa.

Katy is also survived by 15 Grandchildren, Mike, Milo, Daniel, Gabriel, Tiersa, Ryan, Chris, Teresa, Shelley, Polly, Adam, Matthew, Morgan, Ellen, and Carter; and she is survived by 34 Great-Grandchildren.

A Celebration of Katy's life will be held at 11:00 a.m., February 3, 2017 at South Haven Baptist
Church, 16800 Bel-Ray Blvd., Belton, MO 64012.
