KATHLEEN A. ROGERS
Kathleen A. Rogers, age 88, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2019.
A Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 3, 2019 immediately followed by a 11:00 a.m. Funeral Service at Cullen Funeral Home, 612 W. Foxwood Dr. Raymore, Missouri 64083. A Burial will be held immediately following the funeral at Belton Cemetery in Belton, Missouri.
Kathleen was born on December 13, 1930 in Winona, Missouri. She was the daughter of Guy Williams and Emma Brewer Williams. Kathleen was one of four children including three brothers, Ray, Dwayne, and Donald. After graduating high school, Kathleen furthered her education for a short time at Kansas City Business college. In life, Kathleen was blessed with a daughter, Diane and two sons, Allen and Darren. Throughout life, all three blessed Kathleen with grandchildren and great grandchildren. For nineteen years Kathleen worked at Walmart in various departments, but the greeting card department was her favorite. Even though she was a private woman, Kathleen did very much enjoy going out to eat with her friends and family and for some time was a member of the Red Hat club. Kathleen also enjoyed putting together many puzzles throughout the years and very much enjoyed reading mysteries written by Mary Higgins Clark.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Emma Williams; two brothers, Dwayne and Ray Williams; a nephew, Chester Ray (aka Spud) Williams; and niece, Tonita Lay.
She is survived by her three loving children, Diane Dunfee (Cliff), Allen Rogers (Joyce), and Darren Rogers (Gwen); brother, Donald Williams (Patsy); niece, Lafawn Thomas (Ron); nephew, Travis Williams (Mindy); five grandchildren, Kerry Johnson (Chad), Jennifer Heyer (Rodney), Jessica Wright (Garrett), Melissa Dowd (Matt) and Justin Wright; ten great grandchildren, Kylie, Eva Mae, Logan, Jaden, Peyton, Killian, Charley, Allison, Dylan, Megan; and four great nieces and nephews, Stephanie Nelson (Jerry), Brett Thomas (Kelly), Tanner Williams and Traye Williams.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to the Wayside Waifs, 3901 Martha Truman Rd, Kansas City, MO 64137
