Obituary

KATHLEEN ANN LARRISON DAY GEBAUER

Kathleen Ann Larrison Day Gebauer, went to be with the Lord on May 5, 2022.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at St. Sabina Catholic Church, 700 Trevis Ave., Belton, Missouri 64012. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. followed by Mass at 10:30 a.m. Kathleen will then be laid to rest at Belton Cemetery in Belton, Missouri. For those unable to attend services, St. Sabina Church will be live streaming via their Facebook page.

Kathleen was born on September 16, 1934 to Arthur V. Larrison and Catherine Larrison Day (Kreitner). Kathleen grew up in High Ridge, Missouri and as a teenager worked at Gelner's Grocery Store. Kathleen was prom queen at Eureka High School, class of 1952.

Kathleen married the love of her life, Alfred Gebauer on December 16, 1952. They enjoyed sixty-nine years of wedded bliss. Al referred to her as his beautiful wife, "Tator Tot." From this union they were blessed with eight children: Kathy, David, Patty, Linda, Cindy, Greg, Phil, and Mary.

Kathleen, a.k.a. Grandma Cookie, loved holding and rocking their eleven grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. Family and faith were her driving forces. She was a great cook and housekeeper. She wrote wonderful poems and loved playing games and singing songs from her past as well as listening to music.

Kathleen and Al were faithful members of St. Sabina's Church and loved their prayer group and the lasting friendships they formed. Kathleen was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. Kathleen was a positive and happy person. She will be greatly missed by all.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur V. Larrison, Catherine Day and Charles F. Day; and three siblings, Esther Sigan, Arthur M. Larrison, and Norma Bauer.

She is survived by her loving husband, Al Gebauer; eight children, Kathy Alexander (Cliff), David Gebauer (Sharon), Patty Steinshouer (Danny), Linda Gebauer, Cindy Stein (David), Greg Gebauer (Dawn), Phil Gebauer (Chris-Anne), and Mary Shatford (Kurt); sister, Carolyn Huff (John); eleven grandchildren; and seventeen great grandchildren.
