Katherin F. States, 77 of Peculiar, Missouri passed away July 10, 2010 at Kansas City Hospice House. Visitation will be 6-7:30 PM Monday, July 12 at Cullen Funeral Home with services at 7:30 PM. Graveside services 10:30 Tuesday, July 13, at Cowgill Cemetery, Cowgill, Missouri.
Katherin was born November 26, 1932 in Ray County Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Frances and Mary Shumate, first husband Richard Michael, second husband Wayne States and daughter Linda Kay Michael. She is survived by her sons, Larry Michael (Susan) of Overland Park, KS and John Michael (Josephine) of Portland, OR, daughter, Kimberly Michael- Smith (Ron) of Peculiar, MO, 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Robert Shumate(Martha), Earl Shumate (Linda), two sisters Carroll Overfelt (Tom), Mary Ann Clark, and numerous nieces and nephews. Katherin was a member of Linden Baptist Church in Gladstone, MO.
