Julia Mary Theresa Davis
March 10, 1931 – September 21, 2025

Julia Mary Theresa Davis, 94, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2025.

Julia was born on March 10, 1931, in St. Joseph, MO to Albert Farris and Emaline Owen Farris who immigrated here from Syria. Following her high school graduation, Julia attended secretary school and worked at Hotel Robidoux as a Reservation Clerk and Secretary to the Assistant Manager. Julia realized her passion for helping others and decided to attend Creighton Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1955. She decided to further her career in 1961 at anesthesia school at General Hospital in Kansas City, where she met and fell in love with Dale (Sonny) Davis. Julia and Lieutenant Dale Davis married on December 24, 1965, at Sharpes Army Depot in Stockton California. Julia retired from the field of nursing after 38 years.

Julia was preceded in death by her parents Albert Farris and Emaline Owen Farris, her brother, Albert Farris Jr., and her nephew, Tom Farris. She is survived by her devoted husband of 59 years, Dr. Dale "Sonny" Davis; her son, Anthony Davis; her three granddaughters, Emily (Marcus) Munoz, Katherine (Tony) Carollo, and Morgan Davis; her two great-grandsons; and four nieces and nephews.

Julia lived a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to her family. She enjoyed reading, tending to the birds in her yard, and cherished the companionship of her beloved dog, Buddy, until the very end. Known for her helpful spirit, Julia always found ways to support those around her. In her later years, her ornery wit and spirited nature brought joy to her family and friends.

A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on September 26 at St. Sabina Parish in Belton, Missouri, followed by Mass at 11:00 a.m. Julia will be laid to rest at a later date in Norton, Kansas.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
