JOSEPH "JERRY" MILLER
Joseph "JERRY" Miller, 77, passed away on August 30, 2015. Born June 6, 1938 to Joseph James Miller and Nellie Zelphia (Eveland) Miller in Cerro Gordo, IL. He attended Cerro Gordo High School. He married Patricia Brown December 11, 1960. To this union three children were born: Angela Margaret, Donna Kay and Joseph Jerry Junior "called Chuck". Jerry joined the U.S. Army August 29, 1961 and was discharged August 28, 1963.
He worked several years at Staley's in Decatur, IL. Drove a truck coast to coast many years with different companies. While working for Yellow Freight System he met Donna Carter and they were married August 26, 1986 and he moved to Kansas City, MO.
Those family members who arrived in heaven first were his father Joseph, mother Nellie, brother Robert and grandson Benjamin McClendon. Those he left behind; his wife Donna Miller and former wife Patricia; his children from his first marriage: Angela Margaret Rager; Donna Kay Lindemulder and Greg; Joseph Jerry "Chuck" Miller and Kelly. His step children from his second marriage: Dalene Hall and RD; Ramona Roberts and Michael; Alan Rosine and Lee Ann; and Richard Carter II. His grandchildren Frank Rager, Katie Rager, Evan Stogsdill, Allison Stogsdill, Sam Stogsdill, Justin Wright, Cory Miller, Edie McClendon Bruce, Emily McClendon and her friend Travis Burkhart, Jerimy Roberts, Jonathan Roberts and Brandi. His great grandchildren are Taylor Skivers, Candice Skivers, Kyle Faulkner, Madeleine Bruce, Jack Bruce, Chloe McClendon, and triplets Aidan McClendon, Bella McClendon, Sophia McClendon, Caden Roberts, Alexis Roberts, and Addison Roberts; his sister Linda Duncan and Jim; nephew Lonnie Miller and niece Joetta Miller. Many other family friends and acquaintances.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 4, 2015 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Celebration of life on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 10:00am at the Cullen Funeral Home, 612 West Foxwood Drive, Raymore, MO 64083. Burial will be in Raymore Cemetery, Raymore, MO. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution can be made to Belvidere Heights Baptist Church, 15109 White Ave, Grandview MO 64030.
