JOSEPH (JOE) PATRICK McCANN
Joseph (Joe) Patrick McCann died peacefully at the KC Hospice House on June 2, 2012 after a long courageous battle with cancer. Joe was born in Prairie DuChien Wisconsin, to Margaret and Charles McCann. Joe was born the 3rd in a family of ten. He grew up in Soldiersgrove, Wisconsin. After graduating from high school, Joe worked in the automotive field. He worked for Bear, Kelly Spring, Sun Electric and Ambron which was located in the Woolco stores. He was also was co-owner of J & D automotive. He worked and lived in Wisconsin, Iowa and settled in Missouri. His last profession was wallpaper removal and painting. He was a member of the Eagles Club in Raymore and the NRA. Joe was preceded in death by his parents Margaret and Charles McCann; his sisters, Dixie McCann, Mary Beth McCann and his Granddaughter, Ryann McCann. Joe is survived by his companion and friend Sharon Reed; his sons, Kevin (Connie) and Kurt (Susan); his children's mother, Donna Taber; his sister, Carolyn; his brother, Mike (Rachel); brother, Tom (Mary); brother, Patrick; brother, Tim (Sandy); brother, Bill (Mary); brother, Jim (Rose); he is also survived by his grandchildren, Sheena; Travis; KJ and Emma; a great grandson and great granddaughter, as well as 13 nieces and nephews, their spouses and many great nieces and great nephews. Joe loved his dogs and was preceded in death by Kiyama, Toby 1, Sally and Cuddles. Toby 2 and Lili will miss Joe and the donuts in the morning. Joe lived a good life; he knew that the greatest gift he could give was that of self. His many friends will miss him and hanging out with him at his shop. Visitation will be Saturday, June 9, 2012 from 1 to 3 PM at Cullen Funeral Home, 612 W Foxwood Dr., Raymore, MO, burial will follow the visitation, Joe will laid to rest at the Belton Cemetery. Pallbearers are Mike McCann, Bill McCann, Pat McCann, Jim McCann, Travis McCann and KJ McCann. Joe was not a suit and tie guy so dress causal, nor was he a flower or plant guy.
