JOHN L. BODEN, JR.

John L. Boden, Jr., 39, of Peculiar, MO passed July 28, 2014. Funeral services will be 11 AM Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Peculiar United Methodist Church with visitation 6-8 PM Friday, August 1, 2014 at the church. Burial will be in Peculiar Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Jamie's Education Fund. John was born April 27, 1975 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the son of John and Janice Golden Boden, Sr. John was member of the Bass Masters Club in Pleasant Hill, MO. He enjoyed the outdoors, like fishing, hunting and riding his Harley. He was a huge Nebraska Cornhusker fan and dedicated every Saturday in the fall to watching college football. He served his country in the U.S. Navy Reserves 2003-2009. He graduated from DeVry University with bachelors in Networking and Communications Management in 2006 and from Keller Graduate School of Management with a Master's Degree in Business Administration in June 2009. He loved spending time with his family- his daughter, Jamie, wife, Amy, sister, brother in-law, nephews, mom, dad, aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandma. John was preceded in death by his grandparents. He is survived by his wife, Amy of 9 years; daughter, Jamie Renee Boden; parents; sister, Renee Youngs (Mark); three nephews, Bryce, Evan and Jason Youngs; and many more nieces and nephews.
