Obituary

Jody Lynn Henson

April 1 st 1968 – March 31 st 2018

Jody Lynn Henson passed away March 31 st 2018, at 9:42 pm, in her home in Adrian, Missouri, with her husband, family and friends by her side. Jody was preceded in her death by her mother, Bonnie Owens, and her father, William Barker- both of Baxter Kentucky; brother, Jim Messer, of Harlan, Kentucky.

Jody is survived by the following family members- Sister, Darlene Ambrose of Norfolk, Virginia; Brother, Mark Barker of Baxter, Kentucky, Sister, Buffy Tumblin of Calhoun, Georgia; Sister, Tracey Rackley of Bandera, Texas; and Brother; James Trosper Corbin, Kentucky.

Jody and Jerry met in Norfolk, Virginia in 1986, and were married December 23 rd, 1991. Jody was a bartender almost her entire life and worked as a manager in numerous bars and restaurants in many different states and even islands. Jody was also a severe lover of children and animals.

Jody never had any enemies and always made people smile and feel like they were a friend no matter if she knew you or not. She would constantly call strangers "sweetheart" or "honey" and make them feel welcome no matter the situation. In the same statement, Jody would not take any disrespect from any person, and she would speak her mind no matter the situation or who it was. Jody loved to fish and was an outdoors person.

In Jody's passing, God sent her and angel as in Charlotte Gutshall; The love, care, and dedication that Charlotte gave Jody unconditionally the past 4 months of her life could not be matched by anyone of this earth. Charlotte helped Jerry and Jody with passion and conviction to make Jody as comfortable and happy as possible. There were days when Charlotte came in, Jody's face would light up and she would smile and say, "hello sweetheart, where you been?!" Charlotte, she loved you, and so do I! I will never forget what you have done for her and I. I will never be able to repay you. But God has a plan for you, and you must stay on that path.

Psalm 23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
