Joanne Marilyn Lescalleet, age 97, passed away peacefully on Friday November 21, 2025, at Kansas City Hospice House.
Joanne was born in Lancaster, Ohio on May 13, 1928, to parents Clay and Dorothy (Weber) Metzger from Carroll, Ohio. She was the youngest of two children. Her brother Gene Metzger and both parents proceeded her in death.
Joanne was married twice. In 1947 she married Charles Agosta of Lancaster. That marriage produced three children-Steve, Charletta, and Marco Agosta. After her divorce to Charles she later married Tom Lescalleet.
In her later years Joanne moved to Grandview Missouri to live with her daughter and worked for the Grandview School District until her retirement.
Joanne loved spending time with her family, her flower garden, and her pet goose Sunny. She loved to travel and spend time with her family. She loved animals, especially horses, cats and birds. Her favorite color was pink. Joanne was a long time member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Joanne is survived by her daughter Charletta Stratton of Grandview, Missouri, two grandchildren, Sarina (Philip) Rail of Houston, Texas and Anthony (Aubryn) Stratton of Raymore, Missouri; eight great grandchildren and three great great granddaughters.
In addition to her parents and brother she was preceded in death by both husbands and her two sons, Steve and Marco Agosta. She will be laid to rest at Longview Cemetery in Kansas City.
