JO ANN (SANDERS) HARMON

Jo Ann (Sanders) Harmon, 79, of Raymore, Missouri passed from this life on March 28, 2011 at Saint Joseph Hospital. Jo Ann was born to Claude and Gail Sanders on March 14, 1932 in Kansas City, Missouri. She graduated from Ruskin High School in 1950. Also that same year Jo Ann married the love of her life for the past 60 years Richard L. Harmon. This lasting union was richly blessed with two sons.

Jo Ann was a lifelong resident of the greater Kansas City area where she touched the lives of all who knew her. She was a member of the Hickman Mills Church of Christ. Jo Ann had many interests which included singing, bowling, golf, quilting and travel. However, her greatest joy was her loving family.

The family will receive friends 9:30-11:00 am on Friday, April 1, 2011 at Hickman Mills Church of Christ with memorial service at 11:00 am. Graveside service will be at Green Lawn Cemetery 8251 Hillcrest Rd Kansas City, MO. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Hickman Mills Church of Christ at 11610 S. 71 Hwy Kansas City, MO 64134.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Stan Harmon and brothers, Buddy and Elmer Sanders. She is survived by her husband Richard; son, Brad (Cindy) Harmon; five grandchildren, Aaron (Jen) Harmon, Andy (Kyli) Harmon, Leah (Bill) Eve, Rachel (Trent) Ropp and Jacy Harmon; ten great grandchildren, Tyler Harmon, Lexi Harmon, Sarah Harmon, Carson Eve, Austin Harmon, Weston Ropp, Lainey Eve, Drew Eve, Naomi Ropp and Cora Ropp; and two sisters, Elsie Kempinger and Dorothy (Marvin) Andrews.
