JIM McCOLLOM, JR.
Jim McCollom, Jr., age 81, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away November 23, 2017, at Foxwood Springs Living Center. An Inurnment will take place at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 29th, at the Raymore Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Living Faith Assembly of God church, 110 W. Walnut Street, Raymore, MO 64083.
Jim was born on February 8, 1936, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was the son of Jim and Flossie (Bridges) McCollom.
After graduating from South East High School in Kansas City, Jim entered into the Marine Corps Reserves. On August 27, 1955, Jim was united in marriage with Patricia May Sullivan. Together, Jim and Patricia were blessed with two sons, Phil and Craig.
Jim lovingly supported his family and was skilled in many fields of work. He was a landscaper, an electrician, and a mill worker in a grain factory.
He was a member of the Living Faith Assembly of God church in Raymore. In his spare time, Jim enjoyed model railroading.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Jim McCollom, Sr., and Flossie Crowley; and one brother, Max McCollom.
Jim is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Patricia May McCollom; his sons, Phil McCollom (Edie), and Craig McCollom (Juen); siblings, Sonny McCollom, Bobbie McCollom (Aurelia), and Celia Trusler (Steve); three grandchildren, Melissa Frankenberger (Nate), Michelle McCollom, and Jennifer Dillard (Joe); and three great-grandchildren, Karly, Avery, and Baylor.
