JESSICA JO MAJORS

Jessica Jo Majors passed away peacefully and joined her lord and savior on February 21, 2017. Complications from Pancreatic Cancer led to rapid kidney failure and in her final days at home, Jessie found peace and comfort surrounded by her loved ones.

Jessica was born April 5, 1948 to James and Alice Walls in Kansas City, Kansas.
She is survived by her husband, Rex Majors of the home; daughter, Shelley Walker; step-brothers, James and Steven Majors; 5 grandchildren, Kristin, Meagan, Aubrey, Brooke and Bobby; 7 great-grandchildren, Esther, Hailey, Issabela, Jaimin, Lincoln, Kinley and Bentleigh all of Kansas City. Her sister, Judy Bates (Ray) of Kansas City; brother, Jim Walls and Heart sister, Glenda Walls of AZ, as well as nieces Debbie Beck, Christy Buser, Alicia Endecott and several great nieces and nephews all of Kansas City, MO; and her two lovely fury friends, Mally and Nugget.

In the years leading up to her retirement, Jessica worked for the Department of Commerce and National Weather Service. But, that job paled in comparison to that of wife, mom and grandma. She was blessed to have her family close, and she never let them forget how much she loved them.

In addition to her family, Jessie found joy in her beloved flower garden. The family requests that when spring arrives and you find yourself enjoying the beauty of the freshly bloomed flowers and blossoming trees, to take a few minutes to reflect and remember Jessie and all the love she brought to this world. And plant a flower or two in her memory.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Cullen Funeral Home, Raymore, MO on Monday, February 27, 2017 at 1:00-2:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society 1100 Pennsylvania Ave, Kansas City, MO 64105 or Wayside Waifs 3901 Martha Truman Rd, Kansas City, MO 64137.
