Jesse A. Law, 83, of Belton, Missouri passed away July 23, 2010 at Select Specialty Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri after a courageous fight to live. Jesse was born September 17, 1926 in Miller County, Missouri, the son of Author and Martha Bilyeu Law. Funeral services will be 7:00 PM Monday at Hickman Mills Church of Christ with visitation from 5-7 PM. Services will also be held 2:00 PM Tuesday at Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia, Missouri, with burial in Hickory Point Cemetery Iberia, Missouri. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association. He is survived by his beautiful wife of 64 years, Lura P. Shelton Law, the love of his life; son and daughter in law, Eddie J. and Betty J. Law; daughter and son in law, Leanne and Butch Ball; grandchildren, Adam, Patrick and Melanie; sister, Eleanor Bond; brother, Raymond Law and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Author and Martha; infant son, Jerry Blane, three brothers, Edward, Robert and Fredrick and sister, Fannie Hannah. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, a Kansas City Missouri Firefighter for over 25 years retiring in 1975 and also retired from Johnson County Executive Airport for many years.
