JESSE THOMAS DEAN
Jesse Thomas Dean, 101, of Raymore, Missouri passed away April 15, 2017 at Foxwood Springs Living Center surrounded by his loving family. Jesse was born on March 9th, 1916 in Gunn City, Missouri, the son of Thomas W. and Nellie Gray Dean. He was one of 10 children, all deceased.
Jesse and Mabel Rea Twente were married October 15, 1938 in Raymore, MO. They were blessed with two sons, Ronald Jesse, born in 1940 and Milton (Bud) Thomas, born in 1942. During his lifetime, Jesse worked for Standard Oil Company in Blue Springs, MO, and later he farmed for many years in the Belton area. He was also an Insurance Agent with Patrons & Farmers Mutual Insurance Company of Cass County, Missouri, serving as Director/Agent, President, Vice-President, and Treasurer of the company from 1959-2003. He was a doting grandfather to his 6 grandchildren. He attended many band concerts, basketball games & other school activities. Jesse is a member of Belton United Methodist Church.
He is survived by June Mosby, his best friend & companion; his son, Ronald Jesse Dean & wife, Carol of Raymore, MO; 6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Jesse was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Mabel Rea Twente Dean, and one son, Milton Thomas Dean; 7 sisters and 2 brothers.
To honor his request, there will be no memorial service. Cremation with private inurnment in Belton, MO Cemetery will be held at a later date. Memorials can be made to the Fellowship of John c/o of Foxwood Springs Living Center.
