JERRY LEWAYNE SCOTT

Jerry Lewayne Scott, age 84, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Raymore Church of Christ 107 N Woodson Dr, Raymore, MO 64083. Visitation from 10:00-10:30 a.m. followed by the service at 10:30 a.m.

Jerry was born in Walters, Oklahoma on February 18, 1939 to Raymond P. Scott and Alma Lee (Cooper) Scott. After school, Jerry honorably served his country in the United States Army. He hired on with the Rock Island railroad as a lineman. Then went into train service as a conductor with the Great Western and finally the CNW Railroad as a conductor and local chairman for the United Transportation Union. In the summer of 1962, he was joined in marriage with his loving wife, Judith Ann (Rohrs) on June 20, 1962 in Kansas City, Kansas. Their union was blessed with three sons. In life, Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing, gun shows, sporting events, and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Alma Scott; three brothers, RP, Charles, and Russell Scott; and son Russell Scott.

He is survived by his wife of over sixty years, Judy Scott; two sons, Roger Scott wife (Penny) and Steven Scott wife (Veronica); nine grandchildren, Ryan, Jeremy wife (Whitney), Kelsey wife (Gina), Dalton wife (Kay), Rebekah, Rosa, Taylor, Shea, and Jake Scott; and six great grandchildren, Jayda, Eva, Vivian, Russell, Leo, and Ollie Scott.
