Jerry Lee Lewis, 81, of Raymore, Missouri, departed this life on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at his home.
Services will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026 at the First Baptist Church of Peculiar, 216 E. Broadway St. Peculiar, Missouri 64078. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 12:00 p.m.
Jerry was born on May 3, 1945, in Pineville, Missouri, the son of the late Luther and Marjorie (Jones) Lewis. He grew up in McDonald County and moved to Kansas City, Missouri, at the age of 18, where he spent the rest of his life.
On June 19, 1965, Jerry was united in marriage to Lilly Burr, and to this union three children were born.
Jerry was drafted to the US Army in 1966 where he spent the next 3 years proudly serving as a combat engineer in Panama.
Jerry spent most of his life owning and operating his own construction business. He later retired from Alenco, where he served as a Project Manager. In retirement, Jerry enjoyed traveling with his wife, had a love for quail and pheasant hunting, spending time with his grandchildren, tending to his garden, and being a devoted member of First Baptist Church of Peculiar.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Marjorie Lewis; his sisters, Betty Sharon Martin and Norma Gardner; and his brother, Dennis Jean Lewis.
Jerry is survived by his wife Lilly Lewis, brother, James David Lewis and wife Caty of Texas; his sister, Donna Peck and husband Bo of Anderson, Missouri; and his three children, Mark (Pam) Lewis of St. Louis, Missouri, Jeffrey (Melissa Rush) Lewis of Belton, Missouri, and Kimberli (Darren) Chalmers of Peculiar, Missouri.
He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Blake, Jason, Brandon, Kamren, Zach, Jaxson, Emren, and Weston and two great-grandchildren, Ridge and Kaison, along with several nieces and nephews and a host of extended family and friends.
