JERRY LEE KNIGHT

Jerry Lee Knight, age 80, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away on Friday, September 24, 2021 at North Kansas City Hospice.

Jerry Lee Knight, the son of the late Curtis Lee Knight and Sadie Mae (Foster) Knight, was born on November 27th, 1940, in Concord, North Carolina. He was raised in the Charlotte, North Carolina area and resided in Richmond, Virginia, Atlanta, Georgia, and Asheville, North Carolina. In 1989, his occupation relocated him to Kansas City, Missouri and Wichita, Kansas.

On December 31, 1991 he married Kathye Louise Snyder in Unity Village, Missouri. He semi-retired in 2007 after many years as a Key Account Manager for Triangle Suspension Systems located in DuBois, Pennsylvania. He then went back to work, working for Automann, Inc., until his actual retirement in 2019.

Surviving are his wife, four children; Alecia Dawn Knight of Asheville, North Carolina, Jennifer Rene` Evans and husband, Alan of Stilwell, Kansas, Anthony Harris Knight and wife, Melissa o Asheville, North Carolina, and Valerie Anne Knight of Grandview, Missouri; and six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Also, surviving is one brother, Melvin Duane Knight, and wife, Cynthia of Matthews, North Carolina; one sister Brenda Kay Knight of Charlotte, North Carolina; one sister-in-law, Phyllis Knight of Matthews, North Carolina; and former wife and mother of his four children, Hertha Lacasse Knight of Fairview, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Randolph Steven Knight.

Cremation and a private family gathering will be determined on a later date. At the request of the deceased, the family suggests contributions to a cause of your choice.
