JEROME "JERRY" J. MOSAKOWSKI, JR.
Jerome "Jerry" Joseph Mosakowski, Jr., age 76, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away on April 3, 2018, surrounded by the love of his family, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., with rosary from 9:45-10:00 a.m. and visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 19, 2018, at St. Sabina Catholic Church in Belton, Missouri.
Memorial Contributions may be given to the City Union Mission (1100 E 11th St., Kansas City, MO 64106); Fishes and Loaves Food Pantry in Raymore (1315 E Walnut St, Raymore, MO 64083); or to the Center Friends Mentorship Program (Center Friends, 8701 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO 64131).
Jerry was born on July 22, 1941, in Buffalo, New York. He was the son of Jerome Joseph Mosakowski, Sr. and Lottie Mosakowski.
On July 25, 1964, Jerry was united in marriage with Maronita "Nina" Iyoob. Together, Jerry and Nina were blessed with four sons, Kris, Michael, Stephen, and Nicholas.
Jerry held a Double Master's Degree in Electrical and Manufacturing Engineering. He lovingly supported his family as an electrical engineer at Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies (formerly Allied Signal and Bendix) until his retirement.
Jerry was a member of the St. Sabina Catholic Church. He deeply cared for others, and devoted his time to volunteering at St. James, the City Union Mission, and anywhere where help was needed. Jerry was also a Eucharistic minister.
As an encouraging inspiration for the younger generations, Jerry was a mentor for the students of Center High School in Kansas City, Missouri. He was a Boy Scout leader for troop # 364, a member of the Tribe of Mic O Say, and a referee for kid's soccer teams. Jerry also served his community as an election judge.
In his spare time, Jerry enjoyed cycling and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Lottie Mosakowski.
Jerry is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Nina Mosakowski; his sons, Kris J. Mosakowski, Michael J. Mosakowski (wife, Renee), Stephen M. Mosakowski, and Nicholas A. Mosakowski; his brother, James Mosakowski (wife, Karen); sister, Christina Locke (husband, Bill); and eight grandchildren.
