ELLA "JEAN" LORENZ

Ella "Jean" Lorenz, age 91, of De Soto, Kansas, passed away May 11, 2017 at Hillside Village in De Soto, Kansas. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 16 at Cullen Funeral Home, Raymore, Missouri. A Celebration of Life & Remembrance will begin at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service will take place at 2:00 p.m. at the Lone Jack Cemetery, Lone Jack, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to Hillside Village, 33600 W 85th St, De Soto, KS 66018.

Jean was born February 10, 1926 in Sydney, Iowa. She was the daughter of Frank and Harriet Blunk. Jean was the wife of Willis Lorenz and the proud mother of nine children. For over 64 years Jean was happily married and lovingly devoted to her husband and family. She was also an active member of Corner Stone Church in San Antonio, Texas where she served in the children's ministry and was known as Grandma to all of the children.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Lorenz; parents, Frank and Harriet Blunk; daughter, Darlene Lorenz; two sons, Darryl and Steven Lorenz; two brothers, Doiel and Darryl Blunk; three sisters, Eula Perry, Irene Olson, and Lavona Tilson.

She is survived by her children, Jim Lorenz (Cameron), John Lorenz (Glenda), Robert Lorenz, Willie Lorenz (Terri), Wylla Johnson, and Sheryl Jackson; twenty-two grandchildren and forty-five great-grandchildren.
