JEAN K. LAWING

Jean K. Lawing, age 85, of Gladstone, Missouri, longtime resident of Peculiar, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2023.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 22, 2023 at Cullen Funeral Home, 612 W. Foxwood Dr. Raymore, Missouri 64083. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m.followed by a funeral service at 3:00 p.m. Jean will then be laid to rest next to her husband at Peculiar Cemetery in Peculiar, Missouri

Jean was born in Chariton, Iowa on May 16, 1937 to Ivan French and Genevieve (Sargent) French. After graduating high school, Jean continued her education and worked for many years as a manager at a doctor's office. In life she was a woman of Baptist faith, loved showing horses, traveling, camping, and was a member of the MS Society, Cass County Chapter.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-two and a half years, Gary Lawing; parents, Ivan and Genevieve French; and grandson, Alan Lawing.

She is survived by her two children, Kerry Lawing (Teri) and Pam Herrington (William); seven grandchildren, Gretchen Ortiz (Cupe), Kyle Herrington (Rachel), Weston Herrington (Emily), Melina Herrington, Bradley Lawing (Chelsea), Kristan Gutierrez (David), and Jordan Gallant; and fourteen great grandchildren.
