JANET KAY

Janet Kay, age 49, of Belton, Missouri, passed away on October 17, 2017, at Belton Regional Hospital.

A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Monday, October 23, 2017, at Cullen Funeral Home, Raymore, Missouri.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Children's Miracle Network, 3901 Rainbow Blvd, Kansas City, KS 66103.


Janet was born January 11, 1968, in Springfield, Missouri. She was the daughter of Floyd Deidiker and Judy (Comstock) Geimer.

For over 21 years, Janet tirelessly supported her family as an RN at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. Janet always expressed her gratefulness to spend so many years devoted to helping every child that she encountered while working at Children's Mercy. Janet held a Master's degree in nursing and also in business.

While not working Janet spent her free time outside sitting on the patio or enthusiastically supporting her children's desire to drag her anywhere and everywhere they could. She also loved watching her cardinals play baseball and her Blues hockey. She always made time for anyone who needed her and touched every person she crossed paths with. Janet was always her children's biggest supporter, fan, and inspiration.

Janet is survived by her loving parents, Floyd Deidiker (Pat), and Judy Geimer (Ralph); and her four children, Austin Sharp, Kaylee Sharp, Brooke Sharp and Tyler "TJ" Sharp.
