IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Janet Kay
Boyce
December 9, 1958 – January 7, 2026
Janet Kay Boyce (December 9, 1958 – January 7, 2026)
Janet Kay Boyce (née Winland), 67, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away suddenly at her home on January 7, 2026.
Born in Lovell, Wyoming, to Wilbur and Marjorie Winland, She moved to the Kansas City area in 1989 to make a new life with her husband David as he attended DeVry University. After David graduated, the family moved to Raymore in 1993. There she built a life centered on family, friends, and community.
Janet was a dedicated homemaker whose career was the care and support of her family. She served as a familiar face in the Raymore-Peculiar School District lunchroom for several years. A natural leader, Janet served as the team manager for club soccer for a decade, led the parent committee for the Raymore-Peculiar High School boys' soccer team for two years, and served as the Project Grad Coordinator for the Class of 2013. Under her stewardship as team manager for the high school soccer team, the parent committee developed the RayPec Soccer shield emblem, which is still used today on spiritware, bulletins, and webpages. She was always proud to see it being used even years later.
To those who knew her, Janet was the definition of spunky, courageous, and selfless. She was always the life of the party and inherited the gift of gab from her dad. She possessed a natural intelligence and a strong will that made her a force of nature. A devoted fan of Star Trek and an avid reader, she also had a soft spot for animals. She also enjoyed collecting cat figurines.
Janet cherished her family. She championed her children and grandchildren, faithfully attending every activity she could. From the stands, she unleashed her famous 'Xena War Cry' to support the team. Whether chatting with friends or spending time with her nine grandchildren, Janet exemplified the power of love and determination.
Janet is survived by her husband, David; her sons, Kenneth (Sarah), Jeffrey (Maria), and Jacob (Lyndsay); her siblings, Robert, Ralph (Robyn), and Walter; and her nine beloved grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Marjorie, and son, Brian.
A visitation will be held on January 19, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at Cullen Funeral Home in Raymore, Missouri, followed by a memorial service at 6:00 p.m. Interment will take place at the Lovell Cemetery in Lovell, Wyoming, at a later date.
