JAMES P. SEDLOCK
James P. Sedlock, age 87, passed away at St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri on Wednesday, February 5, 2025.
A Rosary will be said at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 followed by a visitation from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at St. Sabina Catholic Church, 700 Trevis Ave. Belton, Missouri 64012. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at St. Sabina Catholic Church. James will then be laid to rest at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery with military honors.
James was born in Kansas City, Kansas on February 23, 1937 to Paul J. Sedlock and Mary E. (Wasko) Sedlock. James completed high school and furthered his education at Kansas State University and also obtained an Associate of Science degree at Central Technical Institute in 1958 before enlisting in the United States Air Force. On April 20, 1960, James was joined in marriage with his wife Donna (Kessler) in Denver, Colorado. James faithfully served his country until his honorable discharge in 1963. For many years, he worked for Honeywell as an electronic technician. James was a man of Catholic faith and was a member of St. Sabina Catholic Church in Belton, Missouri.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Mary Sedlock; three sisters, Mary Theroff, Marjorie Mattione, and Joan Corsentino; and grandson, Brian Sedlock.
He is survived by his loving wife of over sixty-four years, Donna F. Sedlock; four children, Steven Sedlock, Kathy Nichols, Paul Sedlock, and Elaine Nichols; eight grandchildren, Chris Nichols, Tyler Nichols, Evan Nichols, Justin Sedlock, Jordan Sedlock, Kristen Sedlock, Cheyenne Crowley, and Sheridan Nichols; and 8 great grandchildren.
