JAMES WAYNE RUST

James Wayne Rust, age 70, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park, Kansas.

Jim was born in Kansas City, Missouri on April 26, 1951 to Billy Gene Rust and Donna Marie (Bowman) Rust. After school, Jim served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After his honorable service, Jim went to work in the automotive industry for 25 years. He then created a career for himself as a sheet metal worker, primarily working for Metcraft Industries. In 1982, Jim was joined in marriage with his wife Judy (Vickers). In life Jim loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also loved spending time on his Harley, watching wrestling, fishing, and enjoyed attending church at Ihom in Kansas City.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Donna Marie Rust, and his first wife, Deborah Lynn Rust (Spears).

He leaves behind his loving wife, Judy Rust; son, Jimmy Rust (Christal); daughter, Jeanne Dennison; brother, Bill Rust; sister, Jeanne French (Rick); Charles Rust; five grandchildren, Austin Rust (Madison Smith), Tommy Rust (McKenna), Deborah Rust, Callie Jaymes, and Emilia Jewel; and two great grandchildren, Bentley Shane Rust and James Patrick Rust.
