JAMES F. MEARA
James F. Meara was born October 5, 1933 to John and Helen Meara in St Louis, MO. He lived most of his life in the Kansas City area working in the insurance industry throughout the state of Missouri. He was elected for two terms as North Cass County Commissioner and served in many civic organizations including Rotary, Lions, and Belton Chamber of Commerce. He touched the lives of many people with his kind, helpful manner and his Irish charm. He passed away August 29, 2014 in Raymore, MO leaving behind his wife Anne Meara, daughter, Sandy Katzer (Dwayne), son, Patrick Meara (Ann), brother, Eugene Meara (Kaye), 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandsons and a large extended family. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 2, 2014 from 5-7pm at Cullen Funeral Home. Services will be 10am Wednesday, September 3rd at St Sabina Catholic Church 700 Trevis Ave, Belton, MO. The family suggests donations to the Alzheimer's Association 3846 W 75th St, Prairie Village, KS 66208.
