JAMES "COWBOY JIM" ALLEN WEBB
James "Cowboy Jim" Allen Webb, age 71, of Raymore, Missouri passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on March 20, 2017 at Foxwood Springs Living Center.
A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held from 1:00-4:00 p.m., Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Cullen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the Belton Regional Medical Center Nursing Scholarship Fund (c/o Cass Community Health Foundation, 2316 E. Meyer Blvd., KCMO 64132).
Jim was born August 22, 1945 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was the son of Lee Allen Webb and Wilma F. (Steplen) Webb. Jim was of the first class to graduate from Raymore-Peculiar High School when it was established in 1963. He went on to attend college at Central Missouri State University. During the late 1960s, Jim courageously served in the United States Navy Seebee's from 1965-1969 with two tours of duty in Vietnam. As a father, Jim lovingly supported his family as a carpenter for both home and industrial construction. He was a lifelong resident of Raymore. Jim loved nature, animals and was known for his great sense of humor and telling jokes. Earlier in his life he spent endless hours at the Owen-Good Ranch riding horses and herding cattle with the Good Brother's. Being a cowboy was what he loved.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Wilma Webb and his brother, Donald Webb.
He is survived by his daughter, Amanda Webb (Daniel) and his step-son, Jeff Sosna; sister, Carol Creek (Don); five grandchildren, CJ Baskin, Nick & Max Webb, and Peyton & McKenna Sosna; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
