JACK P. MCHENRY

Jack P. McHenry, age 89, of Belton, MO, passed away on Monday, May 23, 2016 at Beautiful Savior Nursing Home of Belton, MO.
Funeral Service begins at 2:00 p.m., with visitation from 1-2, Thursday, May 26, at Cullen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice.

Jack was born on Saturday, September 11, 1926 in Kansas City, MO. He was the son of Jesse and Bernadette (Fournier) McHenry.

After graduating from high school, Jack married the love of his life, Laverna M. Covington, on February 3, 1945 in Kansas City, MO. Jack and Laverna were blessed with four sons, Jerry, Allen, David and Brent.

Jack loved and provided for his family. He was the owner and operator of a messaging service. He was also a member of the Bethel Assembly of God of Garden City, MO.

Jack P. McHenry was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Bernadette; his wife of over 65 years of marriage, Laverna M. McHenry (August 4, 2010); four of his siblings, Helen Cunningham, Phyllis Weaks, Shirley Lubke, and Robert McHenry; and one granddaughter, Sarah McHenry.

He is survived by his sons, Jerry P. McHenry (Sue), Allen L. McHenry (Edna), David L. McHenry (Viola), and Brent H. McHenry (Christine); one sister, Betty Lamb; ten grandchildren, Shane, Shawn, Pamela, Shannon, Matthew, Luke, Paul, Heather, Jodi, and Emily; and eleven great-grandchildren.
