JACK W. JOHNSON
Jack William Johnson was born June 9, 1939 in Strasburg, Missouri, the son of Dorothy and Henry Johnson. He passed away December 24, 2015 at the age of 76.
Jack attended Pleasant Hill School. Following High School he served his country in the U.S. Navy as a boiler man aboard numerous vessels. On April 8, 1965 he married the love of his life, Evelyn Harrelson. They made their home and raised their children, Mark, Brenda and Adrienne in the Peculiar area.
Jack attended Moler Barber School and was an accomplished hair stylist as well as instructor.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, and reliving his time in the Navy. His summer of 2015 was spent watching the Royals baseball team make their way to the World Series Championship.
He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Johnson; his mother, Dorothy Muschick and two infant brothers, Charles and David Johnson.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Evelyn of Peculiar, MO; his son, Mark and wife Kandi of Belton, MO; daughters, Brenda of St. Petersburg, Florida and Adrienne Morasch and husband George of Greenwood, MO; daughters, Allison Ladue and Jennifer Johnson and son, David Johnson of Kansas City, MO; grandchildren, Billy, Jackie and Mickey Burch, Alexandra Smith, Keaton Aylor, Evan Vogelsmeier, Joe and Matt Chevalier, Amanda Burnam, Amy Clarke, George Morasch IV and Carman Morasch; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 27, 2015 at Cullen Funeral Home in Raymore. Visitation at 1:00 PM with funeral following at 2:00 PM. Burial will be in the Peculiar Cemetery.
