JACK D. HEDRICK
Jack D. Hedrick, 66, of Greenwood, MO passed away September 20, 2013. A Celebration of his Life will be 1-3 PM Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Cullen Funeral Home. Jack was born October 21, 1946 in Beach, North Dakota, the son of Wesley and Jean Hedrick. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Nicole; father, Wesley and brother, Bobby. Jack is survived by his daughters, Lyndsy Williams of Raymore, MO; Leslie Hedrick of Lee's Summit, MO; and Heather Hedrick of Lee's Summit; three granddaughters; Taylor and Hayden Williams of Raymore, and Avery Hansen of Lee's Summit. Jack is the oldest of five sons: Jerry Hedrick, Bernie Hedrick, Billy Hedrick, and Bobby Hedrick all of Marshall, MO. He graduated from Marshall High School in 1966. Jack moved to the Kansas City area, and lived in Greenwood since 1982. Jack retired from Jack's Tune Up and Alignment in Belton, MO, in 2012. He was an avid car enthusiast, and spent much of his time sharing his love of cars with the South 71 Cruisers. Jack was a perfectionist when it came to restoring his classic cars. He was "Poppa Jack" to his granddaughters. They loved visiting Jack at the "shop" and watching him work on cars. To them, he could fix anything! They were excited to have Poppa Jack pick them up after school. He taught them to be themselves, and do what they enjoy. Jack was a kind, simple man. He loved caring for his family and making others happy. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy. Jack cared deeply for his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by many.
