IRENE MAY SHERRER

Irene May Sherrer graduated from this life on November 10, 2017 at her home in Raymore, MO. with loved ones by her side.

Irene was born on April 5, 1930 to Oscar & Florence Hughes, in Council Grove, KS.
Irene married Glen Sherrer on June 14, 1947 in Council Grove and together they raised three children; Randy, Glenda and Brad.

Irene was a dental assistant for many years and loved helping people. Her sweet nature and caring ways touched many lives. She treasured her family and friends and was loved by all who knew her, before and after the stroke that took her memories. She loved Jesus and made sure her children had the opportunity to know Him as well.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Nadine Good, and oldest son, Randy. She is survived by sister, Connie Neal (Larry) in Quemado, NM; daughter-in-law Deanne Sherrer of Salina, KS; daughter Glenda Dethloff (Michael) of Raymore, MO; and youngest son Bradley Sherrer of Admire, KS. Grandchildren: Lori Allen (Ray), Eric Sherrer (Pam), Dana Russell (Ronnie), and Kari Anderson (Ted); Great-grandchildren: Zack Russell, Becca Allen, Jacob & Jordan Clarkin, Malik Meyers, Lance Anderson, Kassidy Anderson , Grayson Sherrer, Heather Allen, Cory Allen, Tyler Allen and Tyler Hicks; Great-great grandchildren: David, Bentley, Josie & Jaxon.

We will miss her sweet spirit and her infectious laugh. The family would like to thank the Serenity Care Hospice team for their loving care.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 25, 2017, at First Baptist Church, 501 Country Lane, Council Grove, KS.
