HERBERT MILTON BENNETT, JR.

Herbert Milton Bennett Jr., age 84, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away at home on Friday, March 1, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.

Services will be held on Friday, March 15, 2024 at Cullen Funeral Home, 612 W. Foxwood Dr. Raymore, Missouri 64083. Visitation will begin at 3:30 p.m. followed by a time of family sharing at 4:30 p.m. Following services, all are welcome for a continued celebration of Herb's life at Merle's American Tavern, 21909 Branic Dr. Peculiar, Missouri 64078.

Herb was born on August 10, 1939 in Sedalia, Missouri to Herbert M. Bennett, Sr. and Berniece J. (Reed) Bennett. He grew up in Raytown where he met his wife, Jan(Kenney)Bennett of 64 years. Their union was blessed with two daughters. In life, Herb was an accomplished Acoustical Ceiling Contractor, owning his own company since the 1970's.  He enjoyed hunting, bowling, football and spending time at the lake.  He was a wonderful Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather.

Herb was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Sr. and Berniece Bennett.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jan Bennett; two daughters, Kelly Bullard (Larry) and Kerri Heston (John); four grandchildren, Brian Chatfield, Cody Chatfield (Alyssa), Holli Hoette (Brian), and Travis Heston; and eight great grandchildren, Vyktor Chatfield, Shelby Chatfield, Kayden Stegner, Carter Chatfield,  Trey Hoette, Colin Hoette, Paisley Hoette, and Briella Heston.
