HENRY D. COTHERN
Henry D. Cothern, age 87, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away at his home on Monday, November 5, 2018. Henry was surrounded by his loving family members.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Cullen Funeral Home, 612 W. Foxwood Dr. Raymore, Missouri 64083.

Henry was born on February 16, 1931 in Clovis, New Mexico. He was the son of Thomas Deskin Cothern and Jim Irene Stephens.
After high school, Henry served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Furthering his education in the work force and being very successful in many areas. Immediately following Henry's military career, he was a law-enforcement officer in Independence, Missouri. He was always out on patrol with his motorcycle. Shortly after working with the Independence police department, Henry worked as a Deputy Constable for the Jackson County Sheriff's Office.
After Henry had serviced his community as law-enforcement, he decided to enter the political arena and was a political organizer from roughly 1960 to 1971. In the 60's Henry started the "Young Democratic Party" of Jackson County, becoming very involved with his community.
Military, law-enforcement, and the political scene were not enough for Henry. He later entered the Marina business which sparked Henry's love for the lake. Henry was a Land Developer for thirty years and owner of Consultants International. Henry developed Eagle Glen in Raymore, Missouri and was part of the development for Silver Lake. Henry had previously owned a Ford Dealership in Camdenton, Missouri as well as Pier 31 Harbor at Lake of the Ozarks. Henry very much enjoyed spending time at the lake with his family, as well as traveling to his condominium on Marco Island in Florida.
Henry is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Irene Cothern; and sister, Violet Long.
He is survived by his loving wife, Debbie Cothern; five children Michael Cothern (Debi Cothern), Steven Hill (Roxane Hill), Jennifer Ramroth, Rustalyn Kirchhoff York (Jay York), and Dameon Hiner (Tina Lemaire); seven grandchildren Bryan Cothern (Marla Cothern), Jeffrey Cothern, Albert Hill, Kendrick Tiller, Raelyn Kirchhoff, Chase Kirchhoff, and Brooks Kirchhoff; and five great grandchildren Cameron Cothern, Chloe Cothern, Keegan Hill, Korbin Hill, and Kelton Hill.
