Helen L. (Andersen) Hilton, 80, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away September 7, 2015. Funeral service will be 3 PM Friday, September 11, 2015 in Wesley Covenant Chapel at The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection 13720 Roe Ave, Leawood, KS 66224 with visitation 1:30-3 PM. Graveside Service will be 11 AM Saturday, September 12th in Green Lawn Cemetery, 8251 Hillcrest Road Kansas City, MO 64138. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association 3846 W 75th St, Prairie Village, KS 66208 or Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care 1500 Meadow Lake Pkwy #200, Kansas City, MO 64114. Helen was born April 21, 1935 in Winside, Nebraska, the daughter of Harold and Elizabeth (Wylie) Andersen. Helen was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James W. Hilton, Jr. of 52 years; 3 siblings, Richard Andersen, Marian R. White and Judy Gratton. She is survived by her children, Kathy & Jim Chrisman, Rick & Nancy Hilton, Brian & Sue Hilton, Kris & Ken Drummond and Diane & Ed Wirthwein; sister, Sandy & Rick Jost; in-laws, Marie Hilton, Steve & Barbara Hilton; 28 grandchildren, Jennifer & Dan Joiner, Janice & Jason Mendenhall, Jill Taylor & Kc Deeter, Julia & Richard Rehfeldt, Angela & Mike Medsker, Andy & Stephanie Hilton, Laura & Jeremy Blevins, Holly & Cory Coquillard, Alex & Kate Hilton, Brett & Mati Hilton, Grant Hilton, Katie Drummond & Justin Raymond, Danny Drummond, Andie Drummond, Ally Drummond, Jakob Wirthwein and Kourtenay Wirthwein and 25 great-grandchildren, Taylor, James, Hailey, Danny, Derek, Brooklynn, Jackson, Dylan, Brayden, Allison, Cooper, Kameryn, Maddie, Kenzie, Zoey, Nathan, Destince, Cole, Chase, Emma, Joshua, Rachel, Colton, Gracelyn and Kinsley; and many nieces and nephews. Helen was a member of The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection. She spent 55 years teaching 3 year olds at Grandview UMC & Church of the Resurrection. Helen retired from Sprint after working there for over 15 years in 2006. Helen always spoke of, thought of and loved all of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren so very much. All will miss her!
