HARVEY F. HICKS

Harvey F. Hicks, age 88, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2022.

Harvey was born in Lake Providence, Louisiana on November 12, 1933 to Clyde and Marie Hicks. After graduating high school, Harvey enlisted in the United States Airforce starting his twenty one year honorable career. In the Spring of 1953 he was joined in marriage to his late wife, Elizabeth Hicks on March 27th. Their union was blessed with two children, Paul and Catherine. After retiring from the Air Force, Harvey worked primarily as a manager of different country clubs.

In life, Harvey was a man who took care of his family no matter the cost. He took pride in cooking for anyone and everyone and every Sunday was a family dinner. Spending time with his family was most important to him. Harvey loved to garden but was very adamant that if you have one, it better be able to feed you.

Harvey was preceded in death by his loving wife of over sixty-five years, Elizabeth Hicks; parents, Clyde and Marie Hicks; three brothers, Leo, J.M., and Robert Hicks; and four sisters, Tracy Hollingshead, Ruth Hollingshead, VI Hollingshead, and Louise Hicks.

He is survived by his two children, Paul Hicks (Teresa) and Catherine Henthorne (Marvin); brother in law Stan Doe; many extended family members; four grandchildren, Jeffrey Henthorne (Sharlene), Dustin Hicks (Nichole), David Hicks, and Sarah Hicks (Alii); six great grandchildren, Jennifer, Jamie, Jacob, Bryson, Emersyn, and Kaden; and two great-great grandchildren, Zuri and Zayne.
