1939 and he graduated from Belton High School in1945. He joined the Navy in 1945, right at the end of WWII. Ed went on to earn a BA from Baker University in 1949.

Ed was a very strong supporter of the local community. Ed joined his father, Claude J. Fleetwood and uncle, May E. Lomax in the operation of Fleetwood Chevrolet in 1953. He took over ownership in 1972 and actively operated the dealership until it was sold in 1995.

Ed read all the local newspapers and was known for writing letters to the local papers on a multitude of topics affecting the betterment of the community.

Ed and Louise were married for over 48 years. They loved golf and travel, visiting many cities around the world and, in later years, especially loved cruising. Ed thoroughly enjoyed his family and multitude of friends. He will forever be an inspiration and will be sorely missed by all.
