GWENDOLYN GERALDINE MACE
Gwendolyn Geraldine Mace, 82 of Raymore, Missouri passed away at home surrounded by her loving family after a long courageous battle with cancer. Gwendolyn was born in Anderson, Missouri to Fred and Glenna Stillions. She moved to Kansas City, Kansas as a young girl and was a 1947 graduate of Wyandotte High School. She met the love of her life Jesse Mace, Jr. and they were married in 1949. They were blessed with 3 Daughters; Gwen's greatest love was her family. Gwen and Jesse were not just husband and wife but were truly best friends for their 65 years together. While raising her family she worked at Mission State Bank for 15 years. After her daughters graduated from high school she and Jesse opened a Custom Cabinet Shop at the Lake of the Ozarks where they worked side by side until retiring in 1998. She lived her last years in Raymore, Missouri doing the things she loved most spending time with family and friends. She will be truly missed by all the people that had the privilege to know her. A special thanks to Dr. Douglas Bradley for his kind, always compassionate care, and to Kansas City Hospice. She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Glenna Stillions. She leaves her husband Jesse Mace, Jr., of Raymore, Missouri, daughters Rebecca Lynch of Shawnee, Kansas; Kathy Mace of Raymore, Mo.; Constance Harper of Shawnee, Kansas; 5 grandsons and 6 great grand-children. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Monday November 8, 2010 at Cullen Funeral Home, Raymore, Missouri with private family burial. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Kansas City Hospice and Research Belton Hospital Foundation.
