GLENN ELLIOTT METHENY

Glenn E. Metheny, age 71, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 surrounded by his loving family members.

A Visitation Service will be held from 11:00 p.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday, May 17, 2019 at Cullen Funeral Home, 612 W. Foxwood Dr. Raymore, Missouri 64083. A private family Graveside Service will be held later that day.

Glenn was born on March 24, 1948 in Harrisonville, Missouri. He was the son of Glenn Olen Metheny and Alice Faye (Myers) Metheny.

After graduating high school, Glenn furthered his education, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Central Missouri State. On August 23, 1969 Glenn was joined in marriage with his wife Georgann Metheny. Together they were blessed with two children, Glenn Adam and Carolyn Lea. Glenn created for himself and his family, a successful career at Honeywell Manufacturing and retired in 2004. In life, Glenn loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed gardening and taking care of his lawn. Glenn was a man meant for the outdoors and enjoyed doing anything that was outside, including four generations of fishing at Bennett Springs.

Glenn is preceded in death by his parents, Glenn Olen and Alice Faye Metheny.

He is survived by his loving wife of forty-nine and a half years, Georgann Metheny; son Glenn Adam Metheny (Alyssa); daughter Carolyn Lea Hotchkiss (David); sister Joyce McCambridge (Jack); and four grandchildren, Anna Metheny, Holden, Miles, and Cadence Faye Hotchkiss.
