GLEN DALE MONTEER
Glen D. Monteer, age 59, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, April 19, 2019 at Cullen Funeral Home 612 W. Foxwood Dr. Raymore, Missouri 64083.
Glen was born on March 7, 1960 in Versailles, Missouri. He was the son of Coleman Junior Monteer and Wilma Jeannette (Pipes) Monteer. Glen was one of five siblings including, Coleman Jr., Debbie, Carol, and Marilyn. In life, Glen was blessed with three children, Daney, Jesse, and Lindi. In the summer of 2002, Glen was joined in marriage with his loving wife and childhood sweetheart, Ruby, on the twentieth day of July. Together they enjoyed many years together.
One of Glen's proudest moments in life was when he was accepted by the IBEW Local 124 Union as a Journeyman Level Electrician. He was always very passionate about his work. Glen also enjoyed boating, riding his motorcycle, spending time with family and friends at his lake house, and fishing. His other passions included sports, food prepared by his second wife (Kristi Darby), watching NASCAR ( mostly napping), and helping others when needed most. Glen loved and was extremely proud of being a grandpa to Chase, Shane, Tristan, Elijah, Georgia, and Ruby. Glen was truly larger than life itself and will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
Glen is preceded in death by his parents, Coleman and Wilma Monteer.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 16 years, Ruby Monteer; two sons, Daney Rahe (wife Sandy) and Jesse Schooley (wife Jeni); daughter Lindi Monteer; brother Coleman Monteer Jr. (wife Ruby); three sisters, Debbie Jones (husband Daryl), Carol Murry, and Marilyn Forgey; and six grandchildren, Chase and Shane Rahe, Tristan and Elijah Francis, and Georgia and Ruby Schooley.
