GLADYS JEAN SCRIVNER
Gladys Jean Scrivner, 82, of Grandview, MO passed away October 7, 2013 at her home. Memorial services 3 PM Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Cullen Funeral Home with visitation 2-3 PM. Gladys was born June 14, 1931 in Catawba, Wisconsin, the daughter of Frederick and Josephine Vollendorf the youngest of 12 children. She married on August 5, 1950 to Melvin LeRoy Scrivner. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin in 2000; parents and 10 siblings. Gladys is survived by her children, Sherry Maynard (Phil) of Raymore, MO, Sheela Marten (Bill) of Raymore, MO, Shelly Yazell of Independence, MO, Shawn Scrivner (Becky) of Osceola, MO, Sharon Nelson (Mike) of Drexel, MO, Terry Voss and Tommy Yazell; 12 grandchildren, Michael, Brett, Bryan, Shannon, Roy, Chad, Tanya, Corey, Shawn Jr., Shera, Kayla and Taylor; 18 great grandchildren. Gladys worked at Jess & Jim's Steakhouse in Martin City and later drove cars for Superior Toyota. She was known by all as being very "Sassy". In the last few years she was visited daily by her best friend Wanda Rock. She will be missed by all who knew her and loved her.
