Obituary
George Lopez, Jr., age 88, of Peculiar, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, August 26, 2016. Memorial services begin at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 1, with visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Cullen Funeral Home. Contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice (14310 E. 42nd Street South, Unit 600, Market Place Shopping Center, Independence, MO, 64055) and or to the Alzheimer's Association (Heart of America Chapter, 3846 W. 75th Street, Prairie Village, KS. 66208).
George Lopez, Jr. was born April 23, 1928 in Kansas City, Kansas. He was the son of George Lopez and Jovita (Aguirre) Lopez.
George Lopez, Jr. worked in maintenance for Honeywell for over 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, George Lopez III; three brothers, Edward, Sam and Francis Lopez-Dupree.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Roberta Lopez; his son, Sam Lopez III; his daughters, Lupe Warner (Brian), Lavon Kane, Bertha Benschoter (Randy), and Jovita Lopez; his brother, Albert Lopez (Rachel); and two sisters, Mary E. Genez (Michael), and Bertha Lawson (Jerry); 12 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
