GENEVA L. NEWKIRK

Geneva L. Newkirk, age 64, of Peculiar, Missouri, passed away on March 5th, 2016 at Belton Regional Center in Belton, Missouri. Graveside services will take place at 10AM, Wednesday, March 9th, 2016 in Peculiar Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8PM, Tuesday, March 8th, 2016 at Cullen Funeral Home.

Geneva was born on February, 14th, 1952, in Harrisonville, Missouri. She was the daughter of Edwin Davis and Sylvia (Hodges) Davis. Geneva married the love of her life, Steven G. Newkirk, and to this union two sons, Ron and Loren were born.

Geneva faithfully and lovingly served her family as a homemaker and enjoyed 43 wonderful years of marriage to Steven. She was an artist who was passionate about sewing and baking. Geneva was also a member of the Church of Christ of Peculiar, Missouri.

Geneva was preceded in death by her father, Edwin Davis.
She is survived by her mother Sylvia Davis; her husband Steven G. Newkirk; two sons, Ron Newkirk (Julie) and Loren Newkirk (Terri); three brothers, Walter Davis (Janet), Michael Davis (Sharon), and Wayland Davis (Rena); one sister, Karen Transmeier (Gary); six grandchildren, Zachary, Logan, Kailey, Brody, Nickolas, and Katelyn.
